When I was younger (when my age still starts with the number '1'), I could not understand why they always say women can't live without shoes and bags. 'Cause I totally could live in my favourite slippers. For clothes, I've always understood. Because I would always stand in front of my closet and stare at my mountainous amount of clothes while wailing "I've no clothes to wear!". Haha I bet every single one of you have done it before.
As I stepped into my life starting with the number '2', I have bought more than enough shoes, deciding that I must own at least a pair of different style. I was determined that every lady should have a pair of low-heeled pump, high-heeled pump, open-toe stiletto, comfy walking sandal, uncomfortable but darn pretty Mary-Jane. And the list goes on.
And the story changed again after I started working and came along the so-called spending power. While I used to comtemplate on a pair less than $30 for the whole day, walking the entire shopping centre in hope of spotting the same pair that cost half the amount. Now-- I spot, I try, I like, I buy.
Christmas is always the season to shop (my excuse to shop). I will start buying and wearing the clothes meant for Chinese New Year even before Christmas Eve. Putting the clothes aside, I'm really proud of these new babies.
If you know me well enough, you know THIS is my style. I love wrapping my entire foot in the shoe instead of those that hold my feet in place with just a single strap. For those, I have to walk with my toes all cramped up just to hold on dearly to my shoes. There's only purple and black (and it's suede!). Of course I chose purple! 'Cause this purple makes me wanna fall in love, and I have countless boring black ones. The moment I set eyes on this, I knew I have to get it!
Alegra is a brand that I recently fell in love with. I found it at Suntec, no sure if there's another branch. When I entered the shop, it just gave a very pleasant feeling. Some of the shoes remind me of Georgina Goodman's master pieces. Prices range from approximately $50 to $120 so I think it's not too bad. If you are looking for designs that are not so common, you must check out Alegra. (Daphne apparently is their VIP member and Jess bought 3 pairs at one go. hah you judge by yourself.) Well, wedges are so 2006 but I just love them. So comfortable! I don't really have to worry spraining my ankles whenever I'm in wedges. And I simply adore this pale creamy pink colour.. I will even go picnic in them!
Another must-have! I have been eyeing those at Aldo for a really long time. But I always feel that Aldo shoes are too pricey for the amount of comfort they provide. Heard they are hellish to wear. So when I bumped into this Aldo-inspired black strappy heels at Far East, Shiwei kept coaxing me to get it. And I did!
